MMM 2009 Prague saturday 9th of May – The Demonstration for the Legalization of Marijuana

Come express your objection to the criminalization of marijuana at the 12th annual demonstration for its legalization!

The demonstration for the legalization of marijuana will start on Saturday, May 9th at 13:00 on Charles Square in Prague 2. After a short speech, we will march through the city to the park Parukářka, where festivities await all marijuana supporters. This year’s happening will offer 3 music stages, a marijuana market, lectures, info-booths, fire shows, a juggling workshop for children and adults and of course an assortment of refreshments including hemp beer and icecream.

The demonstration’s go­als:

• To support the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes 
• To support the legalization of marijuana cultivation and possession for personal use
• To procure the freedom of marijuana cultivation and utilization for scientific research
• To introduce the concept of a regulated and taxed sale of marijuana in specialized stores for adults
• To support the end of judicial persecution of everyone accused and/or imprisoned in connection with marijuana
• To objectively and pertinently inform the public about marijuana

The demonstration and march

Gathering at 13:00 on Charles Square, Prague 2, near New Town Hall where Vodičkova Street begins. (see Map)

(metro B station Karlovo náměstí, tram 3,4,6,10,14,1­¬6,18,22,23,24)

Join us and bring banners for the demonstration and march through the center of Prague, which will begin at 13:30 and be accompanied by music.
